Douglas has dealt with some of the largest and most complex property disposals in Scotland including working on behalf of Motorola in the sale of their mobile phone assembly plant in Bathgate, comprising over 538,196 sq ft (50,000 sq m) of production, distribution and office space. This also led to an appointment to sell Motorola’s silicon wafer fabrication facility in South Queensferry, comprising a high value industrial plant extending to some 129,167 sq ft (12,000
sq m) plus land of 35 hectares.
Douglas has provided consultancy services to clients and has acted in the capacity of an Expert Witness for disputes between parties.
Douglas has been involved in a development consultant and joint letting agent basis for
South Gyle Business Park, a high quality business park office development in Edinburgh by Grosvenor, providing some 129,996 sq ft (12,077 sq m) in three buildings. All the buildings were pre-let to The Royal Bank of Scotland
and Scottish Provident Institution and forward funded by Hermes.
In a similar role, Douglas acted for Park Lane Group, providing development advice on design and layout for a 60,000 sq ft (5,574 sq m) office development in Edinburgh, subsequently pre-letting/selling over half the accommodation and letting the remainder.
